My cousin Andre and friend Harper
My cousin Andre loves to hold me and give me kisses!
So today I just started this blog! I've seen a lot of others do this but have never tried, so bear with me as I learn how ! This will be fun for friends and family to keep up with us and the joy of our lives, Baby Gavin!
Gavin is now 10 1/2 weeks old, already! Time sure goes fast!He weighed 13 lbs. 10 oz at his 2 month checkup. Wow what a big boy but he also was 24 3/4 inches long, which makes him not seem quite so chunky! He blesses us everyday with big smiles that just melt our hearts! I will update you on our first weeks of life here:![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEguYLlCud0vPzr3Som1tnI-tMi2afeFafoF_eY5tOIajoy7qe6Q6cSi7lsZjqQHg6hx9YEmPSk1LLDSwAefc4zgrnF-uhwOIYJB8yWjCGuMgW_A_crTSyPAIbZmLzxta01yRJk2ZIPET3/s320/DSC03815.JPG)
Gavin was born March 18th, weighing 8 lbs. 9 oz. 21 3/4 inches long! He was a big boy for mom! Coming home was an adjustment but good one! Jesse was home with us for the first couple days but then had to finish out his set before being home with us for 8 days straight. It was tough at first having him gone in the evenings and overnight. Grandma Joyce came over to help on the first few nights Daddy was gone.
Easter came and we spent it with Great Grandma and Grandpa Rader's and at Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Dan's house. Gavin looked so cute in his little plaid pants! (Thanks Aunt Kelly!) Gavin did not get to join the Easter egg hunt this year, but next year he'll be all over it! I of course had to find his Easter basket. Daddy had to work but we stopped to see him and even made him a carrot cake for the fire station.
Gavin was baptized May 10th on my first Mother's Day! What a perfect day for this! He did so well during the service and at his party after at Grandpa and Grandma Rader's house! Thanks to everyone who came! It was such a fun time! Gavin's godparents are good friends Jesse and Lindsay Hengelfelt who are expecting a baby girl September 7th! We are so excited for this!

Gavin will have another girlfriend to add to his list! ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTHqskJi9sMPH5C-3-o1SeQPeysIoB4Ug37s756nU0a2ylVsAF9njOHBvr1f8wxCAXREzPKhVwsuGYYAFz1URKksPBFjqE-hH9yRCxBsRaMzdZjakFl0QMOrraz9J2Dmh0sfPTFsqsZrda/s320/cute+outfit.jpg)
Memorial day weekend was quite busy! We started off the weekend with a wedding Saturday night of some friends, Josh and Amanda. Jesse and I had a great time and so did Gavin the time he was there. Grandma Joyce watched him for the remainder of the evening, so we could have a little fun!
